Subject: [LbNA-WM] Yellow Jackets!

There is a very large yellow jacket nest only 2 or 3 feet from the path at the Clark’s Crossing letterbox site.

3 members of our 8 person party were stung, one of them twice.

There is however, a detour that can be used to avoid the nest.

After you cross the bridge, walk for a short distance along the creek. You will come to a T that you can either go straight or left.

Go left, then, when you meet another trail go right.

You will pass a junction, this is the T where you would have turned right had you gone the original way, but instead, go straight. (You will be approaching it from a different direction). Then follow the rest of the directions as normal.

Hope this saves people some pain!
